Not too many years ago, international travel was a big thing for most of us at India.Still remember the bragging at school when one's parent(s) would go to a foreign land. The budding philanthropists in us would try to make a deal from the new currency influx. Dad's would be sent off with
requests to collect as many foreign denominations as possible.

The planning for the travel would start a month in advance, mom's packing diligently right to the very end. Everything from salt to rice would be packed in limited quantities. I remember during my first international travel, mom had devised(stiched) a secret belt to be worn inside the trouser. That would carry money and other important valuables.

Its interesting to note how things have changed in the last 10-15 yrs, international travel has become just a little more than traveling by local transport.
